CQI: Understanding Tastes and Flavours
Overview
This course is designed to introduce the attendee to the basic mechanics of taste, smell and mouthfeel and how these are used in the context of evaluating coffee. We will also practice with the CQI Flavor Standards, with the idea of building up a common language used in assessing the quality of coffee.
Our head trainer:
Julian is an AST for Introduction to Coffee, Roasting, Barista Skills, Green Coffee and Sensory Skills.
Q Arabica Grader '17, '20, '23. He currently is a Q Arabica Assistant Instructor and is on its way to becoming a Q Arabica Instructor.
The course will take around 8 hours. The CQI fees are included in the price.
