Colombia, Las Brisas
Product Description:
Our 'Las Brisas' specialty coffee, comprises smallholder producers from Colombia's highly regarded Tolima provenance and is bursting sweet & fruity notes, such as, stone fruit, cane sugar and green apple. Another reason why we love this Colombian coffee is the fact that it has been transported by sail cargo across the Atlantic. The carbon footprint of coffee shipped this manner is almost zero. It is a unique and eco-friendly way to enjoy your favourite beverage!
The Story:
Smallholders part of the 'Las Brisas' co-operative grow this coffee in the Rioblanco municipality of Tolima, central Colombia, where the National Natural Park of Las Hermosas makes up nearly half the land area.
Based on harvest schedules throughout Colombia, these lots are primarily composed of coffees from concentrated areas with a high level of traceability - which we love! The resulting 'Las Brisas' is a delightful high scoring Colombian coffee with interesting and complex flavours. The next time you try this coffee, look for the rich, sweet notes which may taste slightly fruity&acidic.
